VISIONWORKS SUPPORTS ROBERTO CLEMENTE LITTLE LEAGUE WITH A FIELD REFURBISHMENT DONATION

CHICAGO, IL - Visionworks, the official eyewear and eye care retailer of Little League® Baseball and Softball, helped to provide crucial field upgrades to Humboldt Park, home of Roberto Clemente Little League this spring. The improvements will have a lasting impact for the entire community, where young baseball and softball players can come together and forge lifelong memories.

A special grant on behalf of Visionworks, executed with the assistance of the CBS EcoMedia team, will help to enhance the experiences that the players, volunteers, and families of Roberto Clemente Little League will have for years to come. The donation provided funding to be used for various renovations which includes fencing repairs, bleachers, and a new batting cage. These widespread improvements provide a safer, more enjoyable experience for the more than 300 children currently participating in the Roberto Clemente Little League program.

Visionworks joined the Roberto Clemente Little League to celebrate its’ Opening Day ceremony on Saturday, May 12. The event featured a special ribbon-cutting recognition as well as a full day of games and festivities.
