Do you accept my vision insurance?

Visionworks store locations accept Davis Vision and hundreds of insurance plans over multiple states. Because we accept so many insurance plans, the best way to determine if your insurance is accepted at our stores, is to call the location you want to visit directly and ask if they accept your specific plan. This will also enable the store to provide you the most accurate benefits for your plan.

Are you able to accept my vision insurance online?

At this time, we are unable to process insurance benefits online. If you would like to use your insurance, you will need to visit a Visionworks store.

Do you accept Medicaid/Medicare?

Most of our Visionworks locations are contracted with Medicare. Please call the Visionworks location you wish to visit to see if the plan is accepted at that specific store. Medicaid benefits will be on an out-of-network basis. Please contact your state’s Medicaid agency for assistance with estimating anticipated out-of-pocket costs.

Do you offer walk-in service?

Yes, our doctors provide walk-in service, though each location’s hours do vary. It is best to call the location you wish to use to be certain that the office is open when you plan to come.

Can I schedule an appointment online?

Yes, our website allows you to conveniently schedule your eye exam appointment online. Simply enter your zip code in the locator on the homepage, marked “Click To Schedule Eye Exam,” to find the location nearest you. You can then click on a location to be taken to the details page for that store. There you will find a button that will allow you to schedule your exam.

What is the processing time for online orders?

Most glasses orders ship within 10 days of purchase. Orders will be shipped via UPS ground service, with shipping times varying between 1 and 5 days depending on your location.

What is the processing time for in-store orders?

Many of our locations include in-store laboratories and will be able to make some prescriptions the same day. Most orders will be processed at one of our U.S.-based Central Manufacturing Centers, which can take up to 10 days. For exact times, we recommend contacting your local Visionworks store to get the most accurate delivery estimate based on your prescription.

Can you provide a copy of my prescription?

Unfortunately, we do not have access to patient prescriptions as we do not save them to a centralized database. To receive a copy of your prescription, we recommend you call the doctor’s office where you had your exam. You can also build a personalized profile on our website and save your valid prescription to access later.

Where can I find information about Care Credit?

Our Visionworks stores accept Care Credit, with which you can get 6 months no interest deferred financing on optical purchases over $200. For more information on Care Credit you can visit their website at

I am not happy with the service I received in a Visionworks store. How can I give feedback about my experience?

What warranties are sold in stores?

Every purchase is backed by our unconditional 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee, free of cost. We guarantee the lens prescription will be accurate, and that your frame will both look good and fit comfortably. Many locations also offer for purchase an eyeglass protection plan which replaces your glasses in the event of accidental loss or breakage. Warranties do vary by state, so to be certain of the warranty that will be available to you, we encourage you to contact your Visionworks location to receive complete details.

Is there a warranty if I buy my glasses online?

The same 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee that we offer in-store also applies online. We guarantee the lens prescription will be accurate, and that your frame will both look good and fit comfortably. If you are not completely satisfied with your eyewear purchase, please let us know and we will make it right.

Can I receive a refund if I’m not happy with my purchase?

If we are unable to provide you with total satisfaction of your purchase, a full refund is always available. We would prefer, however, to make your glasses right for you. When you come to Visionworks to find the perfect eyewear for your needs, you have made an investment of both time and money, and we don’t believe you should have to start that search over again. We would like the chance to make things right for any unsatisfied customer.

Is there a convenient way I can rate my experience with Visionworks?

What is the safest way to clean my lenses?

The best way to clean your lenses while avoiding possible scratching is to use a lens cleaner solution and a micro-fiber lens cleaning cloth. Another great solution is a pre-moistened lens cleaning towelette. Lens cleaner solution, micro-fiber cleaning clothes, and pre-moistened towelettes are all available at most Visionworks locations.

May I use my FSA card at Visionworks?

Yes. Most FSA plans allow for the purchase of an eye exam or eyeglasses. Please contact your plan administrator for complete details about your FSA plan.

Do you carry safety lenses or glasses?

Yes, we do. Industrial safety eyewear is available in selected Visionworks stores only. All safety eyewear uses our certified safety products.

What promotions or coupons are you currently offering?

Why do you require my date of birth for My Account registration?

Date of birth is required due to federal and/or state privacy laws regarding minors. If you are under 18, we are unable to collect your information and register you for a My Account.

Do you sell non-prescription glasses?

Yes, we do. You may purchase "plano" (non-prescription) clear plastic lenses for your glasses or tinted lenses for sunglasses at any Visionworks location as well as online. These lenses are available with the same great options as prescription lenses including tints and non-glare coatings.
